  1. Awesome Photos of our past greats of the game. Harry Newman and Rob McDonald champions of the game and privileged to be coached by Harry in the 1981 winning De Grey combined side, and played with Rob at Panthers.

  2. John Nani came from Bunbury and worked in Shay Gap driving his own semi-tipper under contract to Brambles. The contract was to haul iron ore from the distant pits to the stock piles. John was the full forward and leading goal kicker for the Hawks and the De Grey Football League in 1975. His sons went on to play for East Perth. John is remembered as a quietly spoken fellow who sadly passed away very young (in his early 50s). His memory lives on in Pilbara football history. (Ref. Wayne Cross, July 2014)
