South Hedland Football Club Inc (SHFC) was formed in 1974. The first league game was played against Goldsworthy, at Goldsworthy in 1975.
South Hedland won their first De Grey premiership in 1980 against the Karratha Kats.
Swans set records for their premiership wins in 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996 under coach Kevin Taylor.

Wow I accidentally stumbled on this site and nearly fell off my chair.
There I was in the Swans photo 1975 I think I’m 65 now and I don’t have long black hair anymore. Great team mates and coach Bob Mitchell.Peter Andrews kicking 18 goals a highlight and Alan Mckays screamer in one game .Dave Froome , Kerry Langlands, Thomas Monaghan,all good players and some I’ve missed and Terry Mudra,George Pawloff . I loved my time at the Swans wonderful memories . Sorry if I left anyone out
